Storage as a Service
Buy storage and archiving as a service. There are several benefits to doing so: no need to invest in systems or services, just pay for the capacity you use at a fixed price per gigabyte Flexible – Safe – Cost-effective
The constant growth of digital information is making it difficult to predict the future need for storage capacity. At the same time, the cost of storage keeps growing. A number of organisations really need to buy storage as a service.
Benefits of Storage as a Service
- Complete control over costs, with a predefined cost per gigabyte
- Low initial investment
- No costly overcapacity
- Downward protection – pay for actual usage
- Avoid tying up capital
- Simplified budget process

How does it work?
When we set up a storage solution, each organisation’s specific needs and demands are taken into consideration. The configuration makes it possible to use more or less capacity. The higher the capacity usage, the lower the price per gigabyte.
Benefits with Proact Storage as a Service vs. other vendors
- Downward protection
- One price for multi-vendor solution (brand-independent)
- No shared infrastructure
- Includes value-added service (see next page)
- Several options for additional professional services
Business model
The basic idea of buying storage as a service is to avoid investing in your own equipment; instead, you just pay for the storage capacity you actually use. The Proact business model takes into consideration future peaks and troughs in anticipated capacity usage.
- Tiered pricing – A fixed price is set for a number of predetermined capacity intervals
- Invoicing at the end of each quarter
- Actual usage is based on the average of three monthly readings.
